The National Oil Corporation met with BP to review recent cooperation efforts and outline future investment plans following the launch of BP’s new office in Tripoli.

NOC Chairman Masoud Suleiman held talks with a BP delegation that included Nader Zaki, BP’s Regional President for the Middle East and North Africa, and Mahmoud Ismail, BP’s Vice President and General Manager in Libya.

In a statement shared on NOC’s Facebook page, the corporation said the meeting examined progress under the memorandum of understanding signed last July. The discussions also covered plans to assess the development potential of several oil fields, consider prospects in unexplored areas, review the proposed work program, and confirm steps toward drilling an exploratory well scheduled for January.
