In order to sell and use Nabors’ top-tier technology and services in Europe and Africa, Hydro Drilling Global, a subsidiary of Hydro Drilling, has announced the signing of a distribution agreement with Nabors Drilling International Limited (NDIL), a subsidiary of Nabors Industries.

For Nabors’ technology and services to reduce well costs, pollution, and fuel usage, HD has identified several opportunities. For instance, the RigCLOUD data and analytics platform provides key performance indicators (KPIs), other powerful analytics, and real-time drilling performance to optimize and drive continuous improvement. While the SmartPOWER automated engine management solution and the nanO2 fuel enhancer can help to optimize engine performance, reduce emissions and improve fuel efficiency.

Other transformative technologies, like Nabors’ drilling process automation suite, which includes SmartROS, SmartDRILL, SmartNAV, SmartSLIDE, and SmartPLAN, will also be evaluated by HD and NDIL for use in Europe and Africa. Other possibilities include automated managed pressure drilling and Nabors integrated drilling support services.

By combining its operating experience and a 45-year presence in Europe and Africa with Nabors’ technology and technical assistance, HD will be able to supply these solutions to its clients in support of their drilling performance and sustainability goals.

HD’s managing director, Ryan Alvey, said, “We are happy to work with Nabors to offer an innovative solution that enables energy companies in Europe and Africa to achieve their goals for improved drilling performance and emissions reduction while also delivering the lowest possible production costs and highest possible energy efficiency. For our customers in the area, the best-in-class technology from Nabors and HD’s operational know-how create a distinctive and differentiating value proposition.”
