Mellitah Oil and Gas Company is preparing to drill eight offshore gas wells at Structure A, located in waters up to 100 meters deep.
The company will begin drilling operations soon after the “Valid Rig,” operated by Borr Drilling, arrives at the site.
Borr Drilling, a global leader in oil and gas well services, operates the rig.
Mellitah aims to complete the drilling operations within approximately 15 months.
The project targets an output of around 160 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.
This production will strengthen domestic gas supply, supporting power plants, cement factories, steel production, and cooking gas availability.
