Libya’s Waha Oil Company announced that it successfully drilled a new gas well (BB-19) in the Faragh field.

The company reported that the initial production test showed flows of about 28 million cubic feet of natural gas and 1,290 barrels of condensate per day on a 64/64 choke.

Waha also confirmed that its technical teams completed a targeted maintenance operation on well (BB-7) after analyzing the sandstone reservoir’s petrophysical properties. The operation restored production, with initial tests reaching 1,478 barrels of oil per day and 1.8 million cubic feet of gas.

The company highlighted that close coordination between its technical departments, strong backing from the Management Committee, and the proven capability of national professionals made these achievements possible while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.

Waha underlined that these results advance the National Oil Corporation’s objectives of raising production, sustaining operations, supporting Libya’s national economy, and reinforcing the country’s standing in the global energy market.
