GameChange Solar recently entered into an agreement with CEEC-ZTPC to deliver its Genius Tracker™ 1P Single Row system for the second phase of Egypt’s Abydos Solar PV Plant.

AMEA Power is leading the project’s development, while CEEC-ZTPC is managing construction. The upcoming phase includes a 1 GWac solar PV plant paired with a 600 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS), positioning it as one of Africa’s largest integrated solar-plus-storage ventures.

This deal increases GameChange Solar’s total tracker supply in Egypt to nearly 3 GW, further solidifying its position as a leading solar tracker supplier in the region. The project supports Egypt’s renewable energy roadmap, which targets 42% clean energy generation by 2030.

Scheduled for commissioning in May 2026, Abydos II will span 20 square kilometers in Aswan Governorate. The plant is projected to generate around 3,000 GWh of clean power each year, enough to electrify over 500,000 homes and reduce more than 1 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.

Vikas Bansal, GameChange Solar’s International President, emphasized the value of continued collaboration with CEEC-ZTPC and AMEA Power, citing the success of Abydos I (a 560 MW project now in commercial operation) as a foundation for this new phase. He highlighted the strong partnership and proven delivery as key reasons behind the new order.

By supporting this landmark renewable project, GameChange Solar continues to drive Africa’s clean energy transition. The company’s Genius Tracker™ technology helps boost energy production, streamline installation, and improve project durability—accelerating sustainable growth across the continent.
