Chevron has awarded EnerMech a contract to provide pipeline pre-commissioning services for the Aseng gas development offshore Equatorial Guinea. The contract covers approximately 19 kilometers of rigid production flowline connecting the Aseng field to existing offshore infrastructure.

EnerMech will handle engineering, project management, and specialist pipeline pre-commissioning services to prepare the flowline for operation.

The project is part of ongoing investment in Equatorial Guinea’s offshore gas sector, aimed at developing its gas resources and making greater use of existing offshore infrastructure.

According to EnerMech CEO Charles “Chuck” Davison Jr., the contract expands the company’s existing relationship with Chevron into its pipelines and subsea business.

The project will be managed from EnerMech’s Houston office, with the company providing its pipeline engineering expertise and pre-commissioning services to support the safe preparation of the flowline for operation.
