Angola’s National Oil and Gas Agency (ANPG) announced plans to sign an exclusive negotiation agreement with Shell to explore and develop Blocks 19, 34, 35, and several ultra-deepwater blocks.
The signing ceremony is scheduled for November 3.
According to ANPG, the agreement represents a significant milestone for Angola’s oil industry and strengthens Shell’s footprint in the country.
As Sub-Saharan Africa’s second-largest crude producer after Nigeria, Angola has introduced key regulatory reforms to attract more investors and maintain oil production above 1 million barrels per day.
