According to the bank’s president, Akinwumi Adesina, the African Development Bank secured $31 billion in investment commitments for projects during the Africa Investment Forum.
According to Adesina, this takes the total investment for the year to around $64 billion. At yet another investor meeting in March, the bank raised $32.8 billion.
Adesina provided little information about the projects, but he did mention that one area of attention will be agricultural processing zones.
Projects from industries like agriculture and agro processing, education, energy and climate, healthcare, minerals and mining, and information and communications technology were announced earlier this year.
