Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) signed four memorandums of understanding at Sonatrach’s headquarters in Algiers to boost cooperation in operations, oilfield services, training, and knowledge exchange.
The first MoU, signed by Sonatrach’s National Geophysical Company (ENAGEO) and NOC’s North African Geophysical Exploration Company (NAGECO), focuses on collaboration in geophysical exploration.
The second agreement, between Sonatrach’s National Well Services Company (ENSP) and Al-Jouf Petroleum Technology Company (JOT), outlines the provision of oilfield services across Algeria, Libya, and internationally.
In the third MoU, Sonatrach’s Exploration and Production–Laboratory Division and Libya’s Petroleum Research Centre committed to joint projects in oil and gas research.
The fourth agreement, signed directly between Sonatrach and NOC, aims to strengthen training programs and promote knowledge transfer across all areas of the energy sector in both countries.
NOC described these MoUs as a reinforcement of its long-term strategic partnership with Sonatrach and a demonstration of its commitment to building lasting, high-impact collaborations with the Algerian energy giant
