Mozambique Government Greenlights Concession Contracts for Oil and Gas Exploration in Key Blocks A6-E, A6-G, A6-D, S6-A, and S6-B. CNOOC Ltd. and Mozambique’s ENH Secure Offshore Deals.
According to Mozambique’s national regulatory body, the Instituto Nacional de Petróleo (INP), exploration activities include acquiring over 26,000 km2 of 3D seismic data, drilling at least four deepwater research wells, and conducting geoscientific studies in the Save and Angoche offshore regions.
In November 2021, Mozambique’s Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy launched the Sixth Public Tender for 16 offshore exploration and production blocks. The goal of the tender was to create a more attractive environment for oil and gas investments and encourage economic and social development within the country.
