According to General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), the 500 MW solar energy project in Libya has received confirmation from the world’s largest energy company, Total Energies of France.
The information was made public following yesterday’s meeting between GECOL and Total Energies at the latter’s offices in Tripoli.
According to GECOL, Total stated that it will link its production to the national grid within a brief, precise time period that has been agreed upon by the two parties.
Total was also quoted as saying that it looks forward to creating other projects in accordance with a predetermined schedule over a predetermined length of time in order to broaden the scope of its joint partnership with GECOL.
