Togo received 3,900 sets of photovoltaic power generation systems from China under the “Africa Solar Belt” project.

Chinese Ambassador to Togo, Wang Min, and Togo’s Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy in charge of Energy and Mines, Robert Koffi Messan Eklo, took part in the handover ceremony and signed the delivery certificate.

During her speech, Wang stated that China, guided by its goal of fostering a community with a shared future for humanity, remains dedicated to helping African nations create cleaner, more beautiful, and sustainable environments.

She noted that the photovoltaic power systems are designed to help reduce electricity shortages and encourage Togo’s efforts toward energy diversification.

Wang added that China will keep pursuing high-level openness and continue sharing its development opportunities with the international community.

Eklo commended China’s governance principles and development path, describing the “Africa Solar Belt” project as a clear reflection of the practical cooperation and strong friendship between Togo and China.

He said he is confident that the collaboration between Togo and China will bring even greater results in the coming years.
