Dr. Francesca Chisangano Zyambo, Permanent Secretary Administration at the Ministry of Energy, has signed an Implementation Agreement for Wendit Group to build a 50 MW solar plant in Kafue Town, Lusaka.
Wendit Group CEO, Mr. Erich Horlacher, expressed his deepest gratitude to the government of Zambia and the Ministry of Energy for their unwavering support and vision in fostering a greener future for the nation.
“The 50 MW solar plant represents a significant leap forward in Zambia’s energy landscape. This project will generate clean, renewable energy, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and decreasing carbon emissions while providing a stable and reliable power supply to the region,” said Horlacher.
He added that the impact of this project extends beyond the energy it produces. It will create job opportunities, stimulate local economic growth, and set a benchmark for future renewable energy projects in Zambia and beyond.
