The National Oil Corporation (NOC) reported on Friday, May 31, that Waha Oil Company has boosted its oil production by 40,000 barrels per day since October 2022.
Reporting on the technical details, the NOC said the latest Geosphere 3D and Long Reach technology was also used for the first time in the Dafa field by drilling the B220H horizontal well and drilling a horizontal section exceeding two thousand feet.
The well was completed and tested with satisfactory results of more than 3,000 barrels, and a submersible pump and VSD production regulator are expected to be installed shortly to significantly increase well production.
Waha’s technical teams, it added, were able to complete and test the 6K5 development well in the Gallo (Jalu) field with a depth of about 11,000 feet, which produced 4,000 barrels per day and two million cubic feet of natural gas and was put on the production line in record time.
The NOC stated that this increase is part of its strategic plan to boost production.
