AGOCO’s technical teams have achieved the successful restoration of well C-335 in the Sarir oilfield, resulting in an increase of 2,500 barrels of crude oil per day due to effective maintenance operations, as reported by the National Oil Corporation (NOC).

The corporation noted that the well had been offline since 2022 due to missing equipment. “The technical teams were able to retrieve the lost equipment and perform the necessary treatments on the productive layers,” the NOC explained in its statement.

Test results following the maintenance showed a production rate of 2,500 barrels per day with a 7% water cut. The NOC commended the efforts that led to this achievement, aligning with its strategic goal to boost production rates.

In a related update, AGOCO announced in late May the successful restart of gas units at the Nafoura field after a 13-year break, enhancing overall production capacity.
