Libya’s National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced plans to drill 121 new wells in 2024 for exploring and exploiting natural oil and gas resources, along with maintaining approximately 1,335 existing wells.

It said it is planning to continue a series of important operations in the oil and gas sector to ensure the sustainability of oil production.‎

On June 9th, NOC chairman Farhat Bengdara restated his goal to increase production from the current 1.2 million barrels per day to 2 million barrels per day by the end of 2025..
